Niche Financial Planner Gareth Shears has passed his AF7 Pensions Transfers qualification, allowing him to advise clients on the transfer of their safeguarded benefits.
In what is widely seen as one of the most challenging exams in the industry, Gareth has now added to his already impressive list of qualifications. It was a module that saw him focus on the fundamental aspects of the pension transfer process as well as the implications of transferring between different types of pensions.
Retirement planning of the highest quality
Advising clients for around a decade, Gareth joined Niche IFA in 2010 and has long since become one of the leading advisers at the office, with a wealth of experience and expertise in many areas.
Gareth’s new qualifications make him the fourth adviser at Niche able to sign off defined benefit transfers and is further proof of the company’s position as pension specialists of the highest calibre.
Niche IFA Director and Chartered Financial Planner Ray Adams was delighted with the news, admitting, “It’s vital our advisers can give the best possible levels of advice to our clients. Gareth’s achievement means we can provide some of the most comprehensive levels of retirement planning available throughout South Wales.”
The good news wasn’t just reserved for Gareth either, as paraplanners Ed Peach and Kwesi Asamoah-Mensah achieved their respective CF6 (Mortgage Advice) and R01 (Financial Services, Regulation & Ethics) qualifications.
Ed can now give mortgage advice to clients and has developed a further understanding of various types of mortgage products and repayment options, while Kwesi has furthered his knowledge of financial regulation, legislation and ethics.
The news of Gareth’s, Ed’s and Kwesi’s exam success comes a week after fellow paraplanners Diemante Hyde and Robyn Aubrey learned of their graduation with honours from university meaning it’s been a month of fantastic news for all at Niche.
Ray summed up his pride in all five individuals as he expressed his delight with all involved “having chosen Niche IFA to help them develop their careers even further.”
Indeed, Niche IFA’s focus on the Next Generation Training Scheme not only offers opportunities to those already studying, but also affords members of the team the chance to study towards their own professional qualifications- whether in finance or other disciplines.
