James is an experienced Independent Financial Adviser at Niche, having initially joined the company in 2013. He quickly gained the knowledge and qualifications needed, and progressed through the ranks and has been advising clients since 2016. After a spell away, he rejoined the team in 2020, bringing with him a deep understanding of client needs and technical acumen as a Pension Transfer Specialist.

Not only does James possess a comprehensive suite of advisory skills, he spent his formative years studying Actuarial Science at the University of Kent. This helped provide him with a superior knowledge of mathematical and statistical assessments of risk within finance and other fields, ensuring that he was a key player in the development of CashCalc - the suite of online cashflow planning tools developed by the Niche team in 2015.

When he's not advising, James likes to unwind by keeping fit - playing cricket and rugby. His time as a cricketer in particular has been storied and is currently the captain at Pontymister & Crosskeys. During the winter, he braves the elements as a Centre for Cwmcarn Rugby.
